So, i got from a friend a Mio Navman 470 device to try putting up some missing maps.
I'm copy/pasting this lines mostly for the full picture, and i understand what both of u sayd, that probably the only way is to unlock and install other program. Fatboyfun will be glad to guide you once he has the information. Sorry if i'm to insistent, and maybe the answer is somehow obvious but i'm so little far away to be full happy, that i need to give a try.
Article by: Darren Griffin Date: Navman have announced three new PNDs for the European market.
The Navman 470, Navman 475 and Navman 575 are unusual in that they are the first third party devices to use Tom Tom's IQ Routes data technology which has been licensed by Mio.
Mio have done nothing to improve matters, indeed they have in my opinion fatally damaged the brand. With the release of Navman's Spirit range I think we all hoped it would see a resurgence but it appears to have been too little too late.
Mio have done nothing to improve matters, indeed they have in my opinion fatally damaged the brand. I bought my wife a Spirit for her birthday (sorry couldn't resist ) and it performs very well and feels like a quality product to handle (I don't know about you but some Tom Tom's and Garmins feel very "plasticky" to me especially given their price).
But i didnt find the solution for simply refreshing the maps. You can't update maps on a real program unless you pay for them.
